Close to retirement…
My wife is an active birder and I was looking for a new hobby as I get closer to retirement. I used to enjoy photography 30 years ago before we had children. We took a trip to Costa Rica for birding and so I bought a Nikon Z50ii and the Nikkor 180-600mm for the trip and have been enjoying birding / nature photography ever since.
In Costa Rica I took 12,000 pictures and so part of this web site is to share birding photos and also share beginner photography tips that have helped me to get started in birding photography.
